I really enjoyed the emphasis on self-awareness over labels. The idea of helping people understand how they learn and solve problems, rather than forcing them into a predefined framework, feels both practical and empowering.
I also loved the point that goals are data points, not verdicts. More people need to hear that.
Labels are a necessity so we can communicate with out too much interference, but particularly with labels that get put on to us by ourselves or others, when you examine how well you fit those label, you realize the fit isn’t perfect…and as you really reflect on it nothing about you can be.
The Label gets you into the game, but it is not the game. If you want to understand the game you need to pay attention to what is really happening. That knowledge is empowering.
