Writing about your Learning

Writing about and reflecting upon your learning and the beliefs you hold about yourself and your cognitive capacity is a powerful personal and pedagogical approach. It is a way to internalize a metacognitive conversation with yourself and objectively approach your thinking and management of the difficult issues you have to contend with by bringing the process out in a way that can be reflected upon later. Writing about your thinking can be emotionally and for some physically difficult, and does not need to be limited to writing. You could make an audio recording, video, drawing, etc. but the key is you are creating a statement about your learning and this concept you call 'yourself', for you to look at and think about later.
